Wallowing about my kids’ safety on Social Media. Am I overthinking this?
Lately, I’ve been feeling more and more uneasy about how much time my kids spend on social media. It seems like every day there’s a new story about online risks, and I can’t help but wonder how protected they really are when I’m not looking over their shoulder.
I don’t want to be the overly strict parent who bans everything, but at the same time, I want them to stay safe and make smart choices online. They say they know what they’re doing, yet I still worry about strangers, cyberbullying, and the kind of content they might come across.
For those who’ve been through this, how do you handle it? Do you set strict rules, monitor activity, or focus more on open conversations? I’d really appreciate any advice on finding the right balance between trust and protection.
