Hey guys, has anyone come across a manual for the volvo tamd61a diesel engine? I recently bought an old boat from a friend; the engine seems to be in working order, but the service history is incomplete, and I want to figure out the settings and maintenance. Have you checked how the engine runs after it warms up? I changed the filters and oil myself without going to a dealer; the main thing is to follow the steps and secure the connections properly. The instrument panel is also easier to understand when you know which sensor is responsible for what—then you won’t get confused by the indicators. It’s sometimes helpful to take photos and make notes when you’re disassembling components; it makes reassembly easier later. If possible, check the fuel pressure and temperature using your own sensors—this gives you confidence that the engine is running normally.
