The first track follows Rileen (Saif Ali Khan), a man who discovers that he has terminal stomach cancer and decides to live a little by taking LSD and befriending a transgender woman named Sheila (Nary Singh). The second track follows Tara (Sobhita Dhulipala), a woman who is about to leave for the US for higher studies, but gets involved in a hit-and-run accident that kills two bikers. The third track follows Mafia (Deepak Dobriyal) and Rahmat (Vijay Raaz), two goons who plan to rob their own boss Raza (Asif Basra), but end up witnessing a murder and getting into trouble.

The film is a quirky and chaotic ride that explores the themes of fate, morality, guilt and redemption. The film has a stellar cast that delivers some hilarious and memorable performances. Saif Ali Khan is brilliant as the eccentric and adventurous Rileen, who tries to make the most of his remaining time. Deepak Dobriyal and Vijay Raaz are hilarious as the bumbling and greedy goons, who have some of the best dialogues in the film. Sobhita Dhulipala is impressive as the conflicted and remorseful Tara, who faces a moral dilemma. The film also has some interesting supporting characters played by Akshay Oberoi, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Isha Talwar, Amyra Dastur and Neil Bhoopalam.

The film has a fast-paced and engaging narrative that keeps the audience hooked. The film has some witty and sharp dialogues that add to the humor and satire of the film. The film also has some surreal and trippy moments that reflect the state of mind of the characters. The film has a vibrant and colorful cinematography that captures the nightlife of Mumbai. The film also has a catchy and eclectic soundtrack composed by Sameer Uddin and Shashwat Sachdev.

Kaalakaandi is a fun and entertaining film that offers a fresh and original take on the genre of black comedy. The film is not for everyone, as it has some dark and disturbing scenes that may not appeal to all. The film also has some flaws, such as a weak climax, some loose ends and some underdeveloped characters. However, the film is worth watching for its unique style, witty humor, superb performances and unpredictable twists. Kaalakaandi is a film that celebrates life in all its madness and unpredictability.
